Graduate Student Interdisciplinary Seminar
on Literacy Studies

Graduate students from two universities, ten colleges, and twenty-odd
departmental disciplines have been meeting monthly since fall quarter to
talk about literacy from a range of perspectives.

If you are a graduate student interested in
cultural, visual, health, or science literacy; communications;
reading or writing practices; history of the book; education; new media;
equality and equity issues; literacy and language policy; and
related questions, take advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas, hear and
discuss graduate student research, and develop connections with your peers.
